Camps & Events

Camps

Whether you're 8 or 88, WoodmenLife camps and family events have something for everyone. WoodmenLife sponsors 27 camps1 around the country, and each camp is special. But whether you're sitting under the shade of a palm tree in Hawaii or a pine tree in Arkansas, summer camp provides the same opportunity for growth, friendship and memories.

Youth Camp

WoodmenLife has sponsored camp for its youth members each summer since 1947. Youth camps are open to members from ages 8 – 15. Camps offer boys and girls the opportunity to expand their interests and skills, and learn about teamwork and leadership. Activities at camp include nature study, citizenship, drama, arts and crafts, swimming, fishing, games, hiking, sports and many others. Last year, more than 6,000 youth members attended a camp in their area.

WoodmenLife camps have built a tradition of being fun and adventurous. Parents can be assured that the trained staff at each camp has the safety of each camper as their first priority. All WoodmenLife camps are members of the American Camp Association and most are ACA accredited.

WoodmenLife has earned an outstanding reputation in the camping community because of our commitment to safety and respect for campers. We've been perfecting our summer camp operations since 1947.

A WoodmenLife summer camp is a great place for kids to have fun!

Family Events

In some areas, WoodmenLife offers events that the entire family can enjoy together. These special occasions are an opportunity for families from different WoodmenLife chapters to come together to socialize while having a great time at major and minor league baseball games, theme and water parks, zoos, festivals, and picnics.

Senior Appreciation Events and Camp

WoodmenLife Senior Camps offer our members – age 55 and older2 – a wonderful opportunity to experience the joy of meeting new friends and mingling with old ones as they participate in a variety of camp activities including arts and crafts, music, games, archery, fishing, swimming, card games, storytelling and nature walks. Some of the camps even offer educational seminars with emphasis on the needs and interests of our senior members.

Appreciation events planned specifically for members ages 55 and older include bus tour excursions, theater shows, antiquing, theme parks, state parks, outlet malls, historic sites and museums, or holiday shows. Offered in most areas, these events are intended to show seniors how much they are appreciated.

All WoodmenLife senior members are encouraged to join in the fun and fellowship that senior camps and activities provide. You'll be glad you did!

Camp continues to be one of the most popular member3 benefits WoodmenLife offers because of the bonds campers and staff form, the good feelings it inspires and the memories it sparks.
